 TOUR DESCRIPTION

The typical route to ascend Großglockner starts from Kals (East Tyrol). The mountain guides great the guests between 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm at the car park near Alpengasthof Lucknerhaus (1918 m) for an equipment check. Afterwards, the journey continues along the marked hiking trail through Ködnitztal valley, passing by Lucknerhütte (2241 m), and reach Stüdlhütte (2802 m) in approximately 2.5 hours. The overnight stay is either at the Stüdlhütte (2802 m) or the Adlersruhe (3454 m).

The next morning, we set off bright and early after breakfast, aiming to reach the summit at sunrise. From the Stüdlhütte, we’ll reach the Adlersruhe (3454 m) in 2.5 hours. Next, we tackle the challenging ice slope of Glocknerleitl, secured with ropes and crampons, and navigate its winding twists and turns. Next up, we’ll venture into rocky terrain, tackling the Kleinglockner (3771 m) with a bit of easy climbing (I-II). Following a quick descent, we’ll reach the famous Glocknerscharte saddle and make our way up to the peak (1.5 hours).

Summit triumph with a magnificent view!

Accompanied by seasoned mountain guides, we conquer the highest peak in Salzburg, Großvenediger (3666 m), using the North Route, securely roped together as we cross the glacier. It’s technically easy yet physically demanding and limited to a maximum group size of eight participants.

We’ll meet at 3 pm at the car park in Neukirchen for an equipment check. Next up, we’ll hop on the Venediger Taxi and make our way to the valley station of the material ropeway. From there, we’ll ascend to the Kürsinger Hut with the mountain guide, and in the evening, we’ll discuss the tour.

 TOUR DESCRIPTION
After breakfast, there’s a short and easy ascent to the roping-up point. From there, we continue roped together over the glacier towards the Venediger Scharte.
